Mission & Values

To our Guests & Friends,

Bridge is a congregation of believers that partners with the Southern Baptist Convention.  The Southern Baptist Convention is the largest global missions organization with over 44,000 churches partnering together worldwide.   We are a congregation that supports cross-denomination work and welcomes others from different denominations into our congregation.

Our congregation is very diverse where a third of our congregation comes from a different denominational background.   We believe that is because we have chosen to focus more on the 98% we agree upon instead of the 2% that seems to divide us.  We believe that Jesus is the only way to God, but we don’t believe that we are the only way to Jesus.

We are excited that you are interested in knowing more about Bridge! We hope our website gets you connected to an initial understanding about our church. Our Lead Pastor, Chris Roberts, and Church Leadership look forward to future conversations with you about Bridge and how we can partner with you through ministry!

OUR MISSION

We exist to Glorify God by connecting you to JESUS, HIS PEOPLE, and HIS MISSION

CORE VALUES

As a Church, we have seven core values we want to mark our ministries, leaders, and the culture of our church:

1. We are a people who are “Baptized in Jesus Christ. ”
“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
- Romans 6:1-4
2. We are a people who “Worship Jesus Christ Together.”
“I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!”
– Psalm 34:1-3
3. We are a people who “Fellowship Together in Jesus Christ.”
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
- Hebrews 10:23-25
4. We are a people who “Make our Home for Jesus Christ.”
For the Man
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”
– 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

For the Woman
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
- Proverbs 31:30

For the Family Unit
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother – which is the first commandment with a promise – “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”
– Ephesians 6:1-4
5. We are a people who “Serve One Another as Jesus Christ Served Us.”
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.”
– John 13:14-16
6. We are a people who “Give Sacrificially for the Glory of Jesus Christ.”
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
7. We are a people who “Go Make Disciples for the Glory of Jesus Christ.”
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
– Matthew 28:19-20
